Great service and stunningly beautiful route! The White River was a blast for the family.
Took the wife and 8yr old boy for a kayak trip down the river. The staff was really great helping us decide which kayaks were best suited for us. They have several different models of tandems and singles to choose from. We only booked an hour long paddle not knowing if we would enjoy it or not, but we should have done the 3hr at least we were having so much fun. The boy and I took out a 14ft tandem kayak (he didn't help paddle at all) and it was easy for me to maneuver on my own down the river. My wife took out a 10ft single kayak and she had a blast. Would gladly rent here again.
As far as going down a river, this route was delightful. The stairs at the start are steep, so accessibility is an issue, but otherwise it is grand. There are staples, like water and trees, but this route goes beyond. There are sandy places to stop and swim, and it's good fun dodging trees.

At the diamond point landing and scoping out the river before renting kayaks. Happy Mohawk employee was very rude (very rude is giving a lot of leeway and a bad day benefit of the doubt) and telling cars to move who were not in the way or in the livery parking, then proceeded to park in another group attempting to leave (again, not in livery parking). I can't imagine the customer would get treated much better, which prompted me to read other reviews on Google and other sites. Based on other reviews and witnessing that employee, I was happy to take my business elsewhere for that day.
