Lakes of Fire! Best regional burn! Thank you lucky lake for the space.
Once in a lifetime experience for the Electric Forest!! All of the best DJ's and for the size of the crowds I never saw any fights or other things that you would expect associated with such an array of different people all gathered to a single spot with intoxicants involved. If you ever get the chance to check this place out do!!
I live right down the road from Lucky Lake Campground. 2 weeks ago I stopped in and talked to the owner Don for a minute and received permission to metal detect in the private lake with a daily swim pass purchase $5/person. Today I decided to make a day out of it and bring the wife and kids to swim while I detected. Showed up at 4:00pm and bought passes and unloaded at the beach. I had not even made it to the water when Don said you can't dig in there. I explained to him on my previous visit what I planned on doing, and I'm not sure who would pay to scan in the lake and not retrieve the target. After he had my money in his pocket he changed his tune. Slightly irritated I packed everything back up and stopped to the office to explain that there must have been a misunderstanding and to see If I could get a refund. Politely I asked Don for a refund and I was called crazy if I thought I was getting my money back. He said "I told you that you could scan the ground I never said you could scoop dirt out of the lake. Needless to say I think Don is a crook and I have my opinion and can't wait to see his rebuttals on this comment. I will continue to voice my opinion of this crook in my little town indefinitely. There are much nicer campgrounds around are area for the same rate with shower houses, bathrooms with running water, mowed campsites, and don't have crooked owners!
biggest scam. We wanted to camp here for a few hours and swim in the lake. The lady either gave us the option of paying $20 per person (4 people in the car) or a $30 day weekend pass. We asked her if she was serious $20 a person she said yes, $80 total and she then changed her mind about the weekend pass and said $50 for the weekend pass.
We ended up finding a free campground a few miles away with way less people. If it wasn't for the lady scamming us, I probably would have camped here next year.
Great place to camp clean so clean fourth year coming dog friendly ppl friendly owners friendly my family loves it here an I can have a beer Don't have to hide it.over all great place
