The campground has new managers this season, and they are very nice and super efficient. The campground is a small one, about 70 campsites. All have new paved cement patios and the roads are newly paved - so no dust. They have cable, wifi and full hook-ups. (Like many campgrounds the wifi is often slow.) There is no pool, nor clubhouse. Bathrooms are clean and decent. It is right adjacent a very nice bike path, and ice cream shack, and grocery store. White Lake is across the street. Both tiny Montague and Whitehall are walkable distances. Once there, one really never has to get in their car again. Everything is available via walking or biking. There are no safer communities than Montague and Whitehall. A 'Back to Mayberry' feel. The campground does not generally attract loud families and party people, and so is a quiet one.

It looked like a nice campground. When I walked in the office one of the first things I was told is that her husband does the yelling around there. She wasn't kidding. He first didn't want to give me the internet password, then he didn't want me unloading our second car at our site. He then wouldn't allow my nephew to have a skateboard on the road. He also likes to patrol the campground numerous times, looking for any violations. My guess is this is NOT a family friendly campground. If you have kids, stay away.

What a great campsite for bicycle travelers! (Tents are allowed only if you arrive by bicycle w/your tent.) We were a group of 8 who arrived by bicycle. The tent area is separate from the trailers & was quiet. Bathrooms are very neat & showers were the nice overhead shower head. Location is perfect w/ice cream place & grocery store very close. Managers were very helpful. If you are a bicycle traveler, this place is perfect.

We camped at Trailways Campground June 2017. Our reason for being there was to ride the awesome bike trails. This campground is right on the trail so it is very easy access. The campground is small but very well kept. It appears to be a lot of seasonal, but that was not problem. We had no problem getting a campsite for 5 days. The couple in the office are very nice and helpful. Checkin was easy. Everyone was very nice. Our campsite was narrower than what we are used to but it wasn't bad. We have a 35 ft travel trailer with 2 slides and we fit just fine. It's a gravel site with a cement patio. Good wifi. Cable TV was good. You can walk to the grocery store. Downtown is quaint and the bike trails are awesome! We would recommend staying at Trailways Campground.

This campground was a treasure find. The managers were friendly & efficient. Clean showers, grocery store next door, bike/walk trails, a few restaurants nearby, easy access to the dunes and even a Wal-Mart.
